You will want to check your Airstream axle out and make sure it has the weight capacity of 4,000 lbs as you mentioned. The capacity should be on a plate or sticker on the axle, or you could use the VIN and call the manufacturer for that information.
If you find that the axle has a higher weight capacity than the 3640 lbs your tires provide, you may wish to replace the tires with a load range D tire like the Karrier ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire, part # AM10245. This tire has a maximum load rating of 2,150 lbs at 65 psi. This tire will fit 15 x 5, 15 x 5-1/2, 15 x 6, and 15 x 6-1/2 rims, and has a 6 ply rating.
If you wish to replace the tire and wheel, and find that you have a 6 on 5-1/2 bolt pattern, I recommend part # AM32664, which is the Karrier ST225/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire with 15 inch White Wheel, or part # AM32666, which is the same tire mounted on a galvanized wheel. Both of these tires have a capacity of 2,540 lbs at 65 psi.
Simply upgrading the tires will not increase the load capacity of your axle.
