Parts Needed to Flat Tow 2020 Jeep Cherokee

Question:

Hello, I have a 2020 Jeep Trailhawk Elite that I want to set up for flat towing behind my motorhome it has a 7 pin plug already set up for a trailer. I also have the following used items Falcon 2 Tow Bar and a Roadmaster Even Brake 9400 systemblue cord. I am thinking I need the RM 521451-5 base Plates, RM156-25 Towed Vehicle charging kit, and RM156-75 Moterhome Charging kit. Will I also need the RM-88400 Brake light relay, the RM-751471 Brake Light Switch, and the RM98400 2nd Vehicle Kit? Are there any other items I will need?

Hey Brian, it sounds like you are off to a great start but the first thing I noticed is that it doesn't look like you have a lighting solution covered?

For lighting you can use the diode kit, # RM-15267, and not have to worry about cutting into the taillight housing. This will splice into your taillight wiring to allow your tow vehicle to control the taillight assemblies of the towed vehicle. This comes with a round 6-way connector that you will install on the front of your towed vehicle and enough coiled wire to go from there to the RV.

If you only have the main portion of the Even Brake # RM-9400 you will also need the second vehicle kit part # RM-98400 which comes with everything else. You will need the brake light switch part # RM-751471 but not the brake light relay.
