Question:

curt hitch looks good, reviews well, allows full size spare storage, all at the lowest price. i have the mini spare and i assume that will fit fine with the curt hitch. why would anyone buy the other hitches? the option of mounting the full OR mini spare is another positive for the curt hitch. shed some light on this.

For the reasons you listed the Curt hitch part # 13354 that you referenced is our best selling hitch for the 2009 Acura MDX. Especially since you can keep a full sized spare unlike the other hitches that only let you use a mini spare. This is the hitch I would recommend for you and for anyone with your vehicle.

For trailer wiring I would recommend the Curt Trailer Wiring Harness part # C56038. Install video attached.

For ball mounts I recommend the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts, 2 balls, a hitch pin with clip, and a carrying bag.
