Add a tidy 12V power port where you need it without splicing wires or guessing at connections. This OptiMate panel mount kit gives you a sealed, fused setup ready for trucks, trailers, and other 12V equipment.
Instead of opening the hood or dealing with loose leads every time you need power, this kit lets you mount a sealed 12V socket directly to your truck, trailer, RV, or equipment. Once installed, you have a clean, consistent place to plug in a charger, solar panel, or 12V accessory.
The included O-46 socket and O-22 SAE to auto plug cable let the port both receive and deliver power. You can connect a battery charger or portable solar panel to maintain your battery, or use the same setup to power a light-duty winch or other 12V accessory. The locking blade design helps keep the plug from backing out in vibration.
The fused battery lead includes a 15-amp fuse to help protect wiring and electronics. A sealing cap covers the socket when it is not in use, and the ring terminals adapt from M6 (1/4") to M8 (5/16") for flexible installation on different battery studs.

Hi everyone, Steve here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at the OptiMate panel mount power socket with an SAE to auto plug kit. So this is one of those small upgrades that can really make a big difference in how convenient your setup on your rigs are. And what this is gonna do is pretty simple. It's gonna give you a clean, permanent, 12 volt outlet that you can mount directly into a panel on your RV, trailer, truck, maybe even a battery box, something like that. So basically, instead of running wires out of a compartment or popping the hood every time you need that power, this will give you a dedicated socket right where you need it.
And you're gonna get the 12 volt socket along with the SAE automotive plug adapter. And then you're also gonna get this protector here. This is basically like a guard to keep moisture and water and stuff out of those connections. And of course you get ring terminals with the inline fuse and then a bunch of extra ring terminals and some mounting hardware for all the different holes here. And of course you get a rubber plug here to keep everything nice and safe.
So this SAE connection is especially nice if you already use battery tenders or maybe accessories that are gonna run off of those SAE leads. A lot of you RVers, campers, power sport owners and users, you probably have a lot of that stuff already installed anyways. Maybe you want to power a portable air compressor, chargers, coolers, small electronics lines, those kind of things. This would be a great option for you as well. And because it is gonna be panel mounted, it's gonna give your install much a cleaner, flush, neat OE look.
And I really do like the quality of these. They actually go together really tight. You can hear it and feel it. And then coming back out, it takes a little more extra pull than your standard 12 volt plugs do that probably came OEM, your vehicle boat, those kind of things. So a great option for you.
Again, the OptiMate panel mount power socket. I'm Steven, thanks for watching.
