Question:
Are the TC2828 the recommended tire chains for 245/75x16 tires on a 2006 Silverado HD2500 Duramax for plowing New Hampshire 1/2 mile gravel winding mountain driveway? Would they be tolerable on the street for 10-15 mile trips, or will I need to take them off?

Hey Stan, we have a similar set of Titan V-Bar chains that fit your tire size of 245/75-16 with the part # TC2821CAM which are a solid choice for deep snow and icy conditions but no chain is going to be able to stay on if the road is dry and without snow.
If you are wanting something easier to take off and on I would go with the Konig set part # TH01571255 instead. How much snow do you guys get up there?

A etrailer rep. confirmed the TC2828 choice, so I ordered them. Not so much the amount of snow, but the frequency and the driveway will rarely be dry due to the cold, so as it is gravel and much of it is deprived strong sun a layer of snow remains. I will likely leave the chains on, except perhaps once per month take them off for errands requiring the truck. Thank you for your thoughts.
