When Installing Wiring on My Toyota RAV4 How Should I Run the Power Cord to the Battery?

Hello, I am about to order the Curt 56434 to wire my 2019 Toyota RAV4 LE! The only thing I am curious about is running the power wire to my battery? Is there a way to discretely run this cord up to my battery? Do most people run it from underneath the car or is it from the inside?

Hello John,
Great question. When installing the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56434 on your 2019 Toyota RAV4 it is best to run the power wire under the vehicle. When we do it here in the shop, we make sure that it is not touching any moving parts, and secure it along the way with some zip ties. For a clean, finished look, be sure to add a # C42CR mounting bracket and the # 18136 no-drill bracket.
What do you plan on using the wiring for? Some light towing, or a hitch mounted accessory?
