Can Gooseneck Hitch Tow 13.6k Fifth Wheel

Question:

I have a plate with ball in my truck I want to know if it will handle my 5th wheel camper it is max weight 13600 the plate and ball are heave duty ball says 30000 lbs but can find any numbers on plate . We use it to pull horse trailers I can send a pick if you need it

Hey William, I would assume the plate and the ball are both rated at 30k based on what you found and you'd be totally fine but it's hard to totally guarantee that without more info. What I can tell you is that gooseneck hitches are generally rated a lot higher than 13.6k so either way I believe you would be totally fine.

Do you have a fifth wheel to gooseneck adapter already?

@WilliamS Do you know what pin box model you have on your trailer? Or maybe the year make and model of the trailer?

@William Unfortunately that's not one we've been able to determine the pin box model so you would want to check the pin box for the sticker that has the model info listed.
