Does the TowSmart hitch stick out much on the back of the 2025 Telluride?

Good question, Angela - the TowSmart # TS84ZR sits clean and low-profile under the rear fascia, and doesn't actually stick out further than the bumper. The cross tube is completely hidden, so all you’ll see is the receiver opening below the bumper. One measurement you may need is the distance from the hitch pin hole to the back of the Telluride; this is about 4". So if you have a ball mount or bike rack, you can measure the distance on that shank from the hitch pin hole to the closest part of the accessory, and that will determine if you will make contact on the bumper/trunk or not.

For example, the Hollywood Racks Destination Bike Rack for 2 Bikes # HLY94FR has the closest part when folded about 10" from the hitch pin hole on the bike racks' shank. This means you'll still have a solid 6" of clearance between the bike rack and the trunk/bumper. I don't foresee any fitment issues on this receiver at all.

The required trim in the lower fascia is minimal - just a 5-1/2 inch wide by 1/2 inch deep notch along the bottom edge - and it blends right in once installed. That makes it great for a bike rack or cargo carrier setup.

Are you planning to use it for towing or just extra storage space?
