Hey Glenn. I went down to the warehouse and measured the BulletProof Hitches 2" Hitch Ball item # BPH43RR. From the bottom of the shank to the top of the hitch ball is 5-1/4". This is a 2" hitch ball with a 10,000 lbs capacity. It has a 2" long shank that fits a 1" diameter ball mount hole.
3/4" thick ball mounts are pretty standard so you'll be good with the one you have.
What kind of trailer are you towing?
