Question:
I need a full set of bearings, races and seals for two trailer hubs that go on a 1 trailer axle shaft. Not sure on the brand of the trailer but its one of those foldable stake side trailers that you can fold in half and roll into a corner of your garage.

Hello Andrew,
Sounds like you’ve got a pretty small trailer, so I would imagine the axle is on the lighter side. Most of the smaller folding trailers use a BT8 spindle, which is common on 2,000 pound axles.
You can either pull the bearings out to double check, or measure the spindle where the bearings sit. You should get 1" for both your inner and outer bearing, please refer to the attached image. It is best to measure with a Digital Caliper like # PTW80157.
If you find that you have a 1" straight spindle, the Bearing Kit for 1" BT8 Spindle, L44643 Inner/Outer Bearings, 34823 Seal # BK1-100 will be the correct kit for you. Don't forget to grab some bearing grease if you don't have any already. The # L11390 will get the job done.
After you measure your spindle, if it turns out not to be a 1" straight spindle, please let me know the measurements you get so I can find the right kit for you.

The spindles on my trailer are 1" inner and outer bearings. Thanks for the information on what bearing kits I need to purchase. I already have a digital caliper.
