Question:
I have a 2013 Lexus RX 350 all-wheel drive. Can you tell me what I need to install on this car so I can have a trailer light plug? If you have an install video as well that would help. Thank you. Jim

Hey Jim, thanks for the information. However, I can not do anything with that VIN number so I went ahead and deleted it.
There's two options for trailer wiring that fit the 2013 Lexus RX 350. The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness item # 56083 is designed for the models that have the factory tow package. If you have the tow package there's going to be a plastic plug underneath the right rear of your SUV by the bumper. I linked a video below that shows this location at the 30 second mark. The Curt item # 56083 is going to plug directly into it and provide you with a 4-way connector.
If you do not have the factory tow package you'll need to install a universal harness using the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness item # 119250KIT. This kit has clamps that will attach directly to your Lexus's rear tail light wiring. The clamps read the signals being sent through them and send them to the corresponding functions on your trailer. I do not have an installation video for a Lexus but I did link one on a similar SUV so you can see the process you need to follow to find the correct wires.
Does your 2013 Lexus RX 350 have the factory tow package?
You can add this information and any other questions you have where it says Reply to Jerred H and I'll be happy to answer them.

Hey Jim, what did you find out about your Lexus—does it have the factory tow package or not? Knowing that will help confirm whether the Curt or the ZCI wiring harness worked best for your setup. Your update could make it easier for others adding trailer wiring to their RX 350.
