Question:
I’m running a big hydraulic pump in an unheated garage (just using space heaters). Would either heater help it start easier in winter?

Definitely, Walt. Cold oil thickens and bogs hydraulic systems and pumps down when you first start using them. If the tank or crankcase is steel, the Heat Magnet # ZE35MR works great and is easy to move when hitting the road. If it’s aluminum, use the Silicone Pad # ZE75MR - it’ll stick permanently and keep the oil warm enough for smooth startups.
How big is your system? What exactly are you using it on?

Thanks, Andrew. The tank is about 20 gallons and steel. It’s for a small log splitter setup I run off a PTO pump in the winter. Gets pretty sluggish below 20°F.
