Question:
Do the 10 inch Dexter ABS brakes need to be adjusted after installation like older electric brakes?
asked by: Chad
Expert Reply:
No manual adjustment needed, Chad - both the 3.5K # DX73WR and 4.4K # DX83WR assemblies feature Dexter’s Nev-R-Adjust design. Once installed and burnished in, the internal tensioning cable automatically maintains the proper shoe clearance. You’ll still want to follow Dexter’s initial break-in procedure 20–30 gradual stops so the shoes seat evenly with your drums.
Do you know which brake assemblies you need? If not, let me know and I can walk you through it!
