Heavy trailer, camper, or bed loads can leave your truck squatting and less controlled. These air springs add up to 5,000 lbs of leveling support to reduce sag, sway, and bottoming, while internal jounces let you run 0 psi unloaded.
When trailer weight, a slide-in camper, or a heavy bed load settles your truck onto its rear suspension, squat and extra body movement can make the truck feel less controlled. The two adjustable rear air springs add supplemental support to help reduce sag, sway, and bottoming while letting you tune the suspension to the weight you're carrying. With up to 5,000 lbs of load-leveling capacity, you can add only the pressure the load calls for instead of treating maximum pressure as the default. Your truck can sit closer to level and remain more controlled while carrying or towing substantial weight.
A truck that tows one day and runs empty the next doesn't need the same rear-suspension support all the time. Internal jounce bumpers let you add air when your trailer, camper, or cargo is aboard, then reduce the air springs to 0 psi once that load comes off. Those internal jounces also protect the air springs against bottoming when suspension travel is used up. You get the support your truck needs under weight without having to keep air in the bags simply to protect them when you're driving empty.
Suspension hardware lives where road spray, dirt, and weather reach it, so material choices matter underneath your truck. This kit uses braided stainless steel air lines along with stainless steel fittings, Schrader valves, roll plates, and mounting hardware to add corrosion resistance throughout key parts of the system. That extra durability is focused where it matters, helping the hardware you rely on for load support and pressure adjustment stand up to the environment beneath a working truck.
You'll start by measuring your truck's stock ride height and checking tire-to-frame clearance before raising the rear, removing the wheels, and taking out the factory jounce bumpers. The air spring assemblies mount between the frame and axle using the existing jounce-bumper locations, with the lower brackets secured around the axle and the brake-line hardware repositioned to maintain proper clearance. Once everything is positioned, aligned, and torqued, you'll install the passenger-side exhaust heat shield, then route the braided stainless steel air lines with enough clearance and slack for suspension movement before mounting the Schrader valves where they're easy to reach. Adding air bags is a job experienced DIYers can handle, but if you would rather leave it to a professional, we can help you find an installer near you.
The included Schrader valves give you everything you need to adjust the air springs manually, but pulling out an external compressor can get old if your towing or hauling setup changes frequently. You can add a Pacbrake Bravo Wireless Air Control Kit (sold separately) to adjust pressure from your phone, check live pressure, and save presets for loads you come back to regularly. Also, you'll be able to choose between filling both air springs together or controlling them independently when the load isn't even side to side. It's an optional upgrade, but one that makes the adjustable part of an air-spring system much easier to use regularly. And it's not the only solution available. There are a variety of compressor options from Pacbrake that might be the perfect fit for your setup.

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look together at this Pacbrake Alpha HD Pro, Rear Axle Birbag Suspension Kit with internal jounce bumpers. Now this kit has been designed to fit your 2020 to current Chevrolet Silverado or GMC Sierra 2,500 or 3500, with either the two wheel or four wheel drive models. Now on custom fit parts such as this kit, I do recommend taking advantage of our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer. Just pop in the year, make and model of your vehicle and answer any other questions that it might have for you and our fit guide will confirm if this kit will work for you or if we have something comparable that will work for you. So, heavy trailers, full beds, gear piled high, that all changes how your truck handles things.
Without the right support, you're gonna feel it immediately. Whether it's sagging in the rear, poor handling overall, or a ride that's going to get unpredictable very fast. This airbag system is going to put you in control with up to 5,000 pounds of load leveling support. These are gonna help reduce squat, it's gonna help improve steering response, and it's going to keep your truck stable when the weight stacks up. Now, bottoming out just doesn't feel rough, it can wreck your airbags.
That's why this system includes internal jounce bumpers. And as you can see there, I have a cutaway there on your screen showing you what that jounce bumper is going to look like inside of the bag. So even with no air pressure, your suspension has a built-in safety net. You're gonna be able to safely run at zero PSI when unloaded, which means no harsh rebound, just that smooth factory-style ride. Now every hull is different, that's why Alpha HD Pro Air Springs that we have here, they're gonna give you full control over your ride height in firmness with adjustable air pressure from five to 100 PSI.
Hauling a fifth wheel or a full bed of gravel, you just have to crank up the pressure. If you're unloaded and heading home, just drop it back down for a softer ride. With the manual inflation valves included, tuning your suspension for the day's work is gonna be really straightforward. And these bags are reinforced all the way through with heavy duty end caps and 20 internal support wires. And along with the internal jounce bumpers, these are really built to last.
I have seen other airbags from other manufacturers and I've always been impressed with Pacbrake. They're high quality and I think they're a great product. We have these powder-coated steel brackets as well that are designed for your vehicle. Now I wanna mention that this kit does include two kinds of hardware. You're gonna get the original hardware that this typically comes with, but this also has an upgraded stainless steel hardware kit. And so that's going to give you stainless steel roll plates. and you see that stainless steel kit on the bottom. The first picture on top is just the normal hardware, but then that bottom picture is going to be the stainless steel hardware kit that's included with this. So you're gonna get stainless steel roll plates. Those are gonna help protect the bags along with the stainless steel shrader valves. So you can easily inflate or adjust the air pressure using a standard air source. And then the, the, the stainless steel components that are going to attach the brackets and the roll plates to the roll plates to the bag itself. So the roll plates here, as you can see are stainless steel. So these are premium components are good that are gonna be included with this kit. And stainless steel is a big upgrade because as you know, they're built to handle harsh conditions, resist rust and corrosion much better than the standard materials. These precision cut, precision laser cut brackets rather, they're designed to bolt cleanly to your truck's existing mounting points with minimal drilling, manual valves are meant to typically run through your license plate, fastener holes or a location of your choosing, which may require some drilling. But with the high quality fittings, the fitted brackets and all the, the premium mounting hardware, you're going to be back on the road in no time after getting this installed. So again, this is going to give you load leveling support up to 5,000 pounds, but I do wanna make you aware of the fact that this does not actually increase your truck's weight carrying capacity. So you wanna make sure that you're not exceeding your manufacturer's recommended weight limits. One final thing I wanted to mention, if you want help with installation and you're not real keen on doing the installation yourself on this product page, underneath the photo section, we have a link to our installer locator. If you click that link and answer the questions that it has for you, that locator will find an installer that etrailer has partnered with in your area to do the install for you. But if you happen to have any other questions, don't hesitate to reach out. We wanna make sure that you're getting exactly what you need. Well, again, my name's Andy, thank you for joining me.

Did not fit my truck 2026 Silverado 1500 4x4, website said it would fit, it does not fit, as axle plate is Square on my truck, this kit have round axle plate that interferes with spring shackle bolts, would not fit or even be centered. SO I am returning them, this needs to be corrected on your website, it does not fit the 2026 Silverado 1500 2x2 or 4x4!
Great product!
Parts fit perfectly, directions were very easy to understand.
It was easy to order and the stuff I ordered is just what I was looking for. The people who helped me was great
Great set up. Easy to install. Much better than the Timbren bump stops.
I have no problems with the quality or the install. My one problem is the instructions, when you order the stainless steel kit, it comes with a separate box to replace the hardware. That's totally fine, but it would be nice if they could work that in the instructions for when to install the stainless steel airlines because you can install them at the same time that you can the push in plastic lines. Besides that, these are an insane set of airbags. When I ride at zero psi cuz I got the ones with the internal jounce bumpers, I did not expect this but it smooths out my ride. That's a super huge plus.
The only reason I bought this kit is because I was told I could put zero psi when not towing and I would not lose the factory suspension comfort. That information was wrong its a horrible ride now and I regret getting these bags. Was also told that they don't off this kit without the stainless upgrade so I had to buy it, but when it shipped there was a separate box with the stainless kit and they regular stuff was in the same box as the bags feels like I got ripped off on this deal
This is a very nice kit. I installed on my new 2026 Silverado 2500hd. Installation was pretty straight forward, but still took a bit of thinking. After everything is mounted correctly there is a slight lean to the bags (not completely perpenticular to the mounting plates). I called Pacbrake support and they assured me this was normal and nothing to be concerned with. I had the equivalent AirLift kit on my 2007 Silverado 2500hd and I think I like the Pacbrake kit better. Everything seems a bet "beefier".
