Question:
Is there a down-pressure setting for scraping packed snow, or just float mode?

Amanda, great question. The electric HomePlows # ME28FR and # ME88FR use a “float” mode that lets the blade follow the surface contour but doesn’t apply down-force. It simply lets the plow rest on the ground, using gravity. The hydraulic HomePlow # ME53FR and WingMan # ME35FR plows give you hydraulic pressure downforce when you hold the lower button - handy for compacted snow or ice that's sticking to the road.
Are you planning to use it mainly on residential pavement?
