Question:

I’ve got leftover pink antifreeze from another brand last season. Can I mix it with Prime Guard?

Ryan, if it’s another RV/marine formula propylene glycol or ethanol-based, it’ll mix fine with Prime Guard options. It's really only okay to mix if it's just a small amount of the other kind, not half and half as that could affect how well the RV resists bursting and gelling.

What brand or type of antifreeze did you use last year? I can confirm the match.

I'd recommend going with Prime Guard Glycerin Free RV & Marine Antifreeze -50°F Burst Protection - 1 Gal # PG36ZR if you're somewhere in the midwest. Otherwise, for colder climates, step up to the -100F # PG96ZR.

I’ve got a half jug of the blue “marine” stuff left from last year too. Can I toss that in with the Prime Guard or is that a different kind altogether?

@Alan The blue “marine” antifreezes are often propylene glycol blends, so they’re usually safe to mix in small amounts with Prime Guard’s glycerin-free. Just avoid combining large amounts of different types - that can change the burst protection and change how the fluid gels. If you’ve got more than a quart or so leftover, I’d keep it separate and use it on smaller gear like washdown pumps or portable tanks. Which brand is your blue jug from? Some label differently, so I can confirm exactly what’s in it.

@AndrewN A better option may be to use the old product for the drain traps and the new product for the water system.

@Nick That would definitely work, thanks for the input Nick. Hopefully Alan and others see your comment :).
