Hey Richard, welcome back! To flat tow your 2008 Honda Civic you will need the following parts:

Tow Bar and Safety Chains - etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar for Blue Ox Base Plates item # e47ZR

Base Plate Kit - Blue Ox Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms item # BX2243 - Fits the DX, EX, and LX models

Wiring Harness - Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit item # RM-15267

Supplemental Braking System - Brake Buddy Classic 3 Portable Flat Tow Brake System item # HM39494

High Low Adapter - The tow bar needs to be within 3" of level. If you measure the height of the inside top of the hitch receiver tube on your RV, and the height difference is more than 3 inches above/below the base plate tab height, you'll need a high/low adapter. I have linked a FAQ article that explains all this in more detail along with our selection of adapters.

What model is your Civic?

Hey Richard, what model did your Civic turn out to be for the base plate fit? Once you confirm that, we can make sure the rest of your flat tow setup lines up right. Let me know what you find—I'm here if you need a hand narrowing it down.
