I own a 2001 airstream.Safari trailer period 23 feet, long double axle. And im looking to replace the brakes with disk brakes. Im not sure how to select the correct set. Im also not sure how to correctly select he options. Id really like the marine brakes if they are what I think they are which meaning plated not going to rust very quickly. I am looking to purchase days over the winter months so I can install for next spring. Can you help me find the correct ones for my trailer? Thank you

Hey Tom, thanks for reaching out!
I believe your 2001 Airstream is equipped with tandem 3,500 lb axles so I'll recommend those parts, but it would be good for you to double check on your end as well. You can find a sticker in the middle of the axles that lists out the specs including weight rating.
The DeeMaxx Disc Brake Kit # DE66YR is perfect for a marine application as the Maxx coating has an impressive over 1,000-hour salt spray rating (compared to the normal 500-hour rating by similar brands).
To get this to work with your Airstream we'll need to get you set up with the DeeMaxx Alpha G1600 Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator # DE47SR as well as the DeeMaxx Hydraulic Brake Line Kit # DE57SR.
You should already have a 7-Way connector and breakaway battery kit.
What drew you to putting disc brakes on your trailer?

Hi Jon, My thought was that maybe the disk brakes would give me better braking. And this coming year, we're planning on taking some long trips, possibly out west to the mountains, and so I wanted the best breaks, I could get on the camper. Is there any way I could get you guys to give me a invoice or an estimate on how many things I'll need. I'll double check the axle, but it is a 3500 pound axle, and I will double check anything else that's on there. I had actually thought about replacing the entire axles, but although these are a little bit rusty, they're in great shape. Thanks. Tom
