How Long Would a 12V 10Cu/Ft Furrion Fridge Run on 750Ah AGM Battery Bank

Updated 10/09/2025 | Published 10/07/2025

Question:

Our Dometic RM7832 died this week. We are at home, so no panic! not looking at fitting the space just yet. How long would a 12-volt fridge, something like a Furrion 10CF-ish run on our batteries? We have three 8D AGMs, 250 Ah each for 750 Ah. I know I cant draw the batteries down like one could with Lithiums.

Hey Matt, thanks for reaching out!

The 10 cu ft Furrion Arctic RV Refrigerator w/ Freezer # FR49GD is listed to run 4 days on 2 x 90Ah battery according to the Furrion spec sheet, for a total of 180Ah. So, your 750Ah battery bank will be sufficient for this for a few days, but I wouldn't go a full 4 days for fear of running your AGMs lower than the recommended 80% capacity.

Are you planning on doing a bit of boondocking?

We do, but our habit is to run the generator in the late afternoon (observing generator hours!) for a couple hours, at least to the point the house batteries switch from bulk stage to absorption stage, and to run the convection oven, maybe the coffee maker. It would be nice to have the capacity to skip an evening, if, say, we were on a hike and didn't return until evening. Four days without shore power, alternator from the running engine, or generator - I don't think we have ever done that! We have never minded the propane fridge

@MattB This will definitely allow you to skip an evening without depleting your battery bank!
