Looking For A Replacement Distribution Box And Converter For My Jay Flight Trailer

Question:
I have a 2009 Jayco Jay Flight travel trailer. I want to upgrade the converter and distribution panel. Is this what I need? Or what would you suggest: Progressive Dynamics 4000 Series Mini RV Converter w/ Charge Wizard and AC/DC Distribution Panel - PD4045KA

Hey Bruce,
Without knowing what model your original unit was it is hard to say if the Progressive Dynamics # PD4045KA is a direct replacement. With that said since you are replacing the whole distribution panel this will work, you just may need to make modifications to the cutout. This unit requires a rear cutout of 10-3/4" long x 7-1/4" tall. I would say in most applications modifications are going to be made to the cutout since it is a different size. I would recommend this unit as a good 45 amp upgrade with the charge wizard.
Do You know what your original converter was?

Hey Bruce, how did the upgrade with the Progressive Dynamics converter and panel turn out on your Jay Flight? Were the cutout modifications pretty straightforward? Your update could make it easier for the next person working on a similar upgrade.
