Hi Lakshmi!

As long as you have a Class 2 or Class 3 hitch on your 2017 Ford C-Max (I couldn't tell if you do in your picture), the Swagman XTC2 TILT Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount # S64671 is definitely a good rack to have! The tilting feature allows you to get access to the back of your vehicle and the anti-rattle pin will keep it from bouncing around while driving. However, there are no locks included and I think the Anti-Rattle Hitch Lock and Cable for Swagman Bike Racks w/ 1-1/4" & Combo Shanks - 7' # S64031 is a good add-on for this rack. It will lock the rack in the hitch and the bikes on the rack.

If you do not already have a hitch, I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class II - 1-1/4" # C12092. This will fit your C-Max perfectly and has plenty of tongue weight capacity for carrying a bike rack and bikes. And it's American made!

What kind of bikes will you be carrying?

Hi Lakshmi, how did the Swagman XTC2 Tilt work out on your Ford C-Max? Did the tilt feature make it easy to reach the back of your vehicle? Your feedback could help others looking for a similar bike rack setup.

Hi, Lazur, thank you for the follow-up email. Looks like I missed seeing an email with this reply earlier, so I appreciate your getting in touch. Been swamped and biking took a backseat, but I've taken a photo of these recommendations and hope to make my biking on nearby trails on my own a reality. Thanks for the great customer service, Lakshmi
