Question:
2020 Tahoe Z-71 factory trailering packageinch with NO CONTROLLER but have 7-pin plug at the hitch. Towing just under 3000 camper but want to brake right safety first. I think hard wired is better than bluetooth - what say you? what would you recommend for my towing? Thank you!

Hey William! I say you're right, a hardwired brake controller is better than a wireless brake controller. It will be more reliable and you don't have to worry about connecting to an app or remote which can definitely lead to frustration at times. Since you have the factory tow package you will have the brake controller port under the dash. My personal recommendation is the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller # RED26CR.
The Liberty is simple, reliable, and won't take up space in the cab of your vehicle. The main unit installs behind the dash so the control knob is the only thing visible for a nice clean look. The knob controls the braking power and also acts as the manual override. This includes a custom wiring harness for a plug and play installation.
What kind of camper do you have?

Great info - thanks for getting back - I have a 2017 airstrream Bambi 16RB I just bought used from a good guy who erplaced the water heater AFTER I had already paid him for the camper. I also think hard-wired is the way to go.
