How to Wire An Atwood RV Water Heater w/ a Double-Panel On/Off Switch
Published 09/25/2025 >
Question:
I have an Atwood/Dometic double panel on/off switch and I stupidly did not take a picture of the wiring before disconnecting the old one and I cant figure out the correct wiring now. In the pictures youll see that the Orange and White wires are as they should be, as is the jumper however, the other three wires are brown, blue and gray, and I have no idea which goes where. Ive traced them all the way to the water heater and they arent connected to wires of other colors anywhere along the way. Hoping you can help me figure this out.

Hey Mike, nice squirrel. I've linked a couple of diagrams below to help get the Double-Panel On/Off Switch item # AT91230. Your gray wire is most likely the ground. The blue wire will connect to terminal 6 of the switch. The brown wire will connect to terminal 3 on the switch.
What model is your water heater?
