Question:

I have a naked roof on my 2022 Mini Cooper S 2 door. This one seems to be for flush rail installation. Is there one for bare roof, and if so, will the sunroof still be operable with the cross bars in place? Thanks!

There sure is Bruce! The Yakima BaseLine FX Roof Rack for Naked Roofs item # Y46SD is the correct crossbar roof rack system for your 2-door 2022 Mini Cooper without the flush rails. The include mounting kit will attach inside your door jams since you don't have the rails.

Yakima recommends not using your sunroof with the crossbars installed so I don't have any way of knowing if you can physically open your sunroof without damaging it. The bottom of the crossbar is going to sit around 3-1/2" above the top of your Mini Cooper's roof.

What do you plan on mounting to your roof rack?
