Hey Stan. To add a hitch to your 2015 Jeep Cherokee, I recommend the etrailer item # e62TR. This is a class III 2" fit that is custom fit. It comes with all hardware necessary for installation and has a 5,000 lbs towing capacity and a 750 lbs maximum tongue weight.
For a 4-way wiring harness, you'll need the Curt item # C56208. This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your Jeep's wiring harness, which is located behind the driver's-side and passenger's-side tail lights. It will provide you with a 4-way connector that will control your trailer's lighting functions.
I recommend using the No-Drill Mount for Electrical Mounting Bracket - Short item # 18140 and the item # C42CR bracket. to secure the 4-way connector to your hitch. This will put it in an easy to reach spot and prevent the risk of it falling onto the road.
You'll also need a ball mount. Our etrailer Adjustable 2-Ball Mount item # e66PR includes a 2" and 2-5/16" hitch ball, it has a 6" rise or 6" drop, and a 7,500 lbs or 10,000 lbs capacity.
The prices are all on the right hand side of the individual product pages. What kind of trailer are you pulling?
