Will Thule Hullavator Pro Fit on 2019 Honda CR-V Factory Roof Rack?

Question:

Our friend gave us 4 Thule Hull-A-Vator racks... but not the Replacement Bar Mount Assembly 7521741001... so we need 4 of these. We are attaching to the roof rack on our 19 Honda CRV - which has cross bars installed at the dealer - they are great - we now use Thule hulla-ports on them for our kayaks. Anyway - can we attach the Replacement Bar Mount Assembly directly to the CRV cross bars, OR do we need to use other bars? Thanks for your help

Hey Robert!

The Thule Hullavator Pro # TH898 will fit with crossbars that hang over the legs of the roof rack, so if you have the factory roof rack from Honda on your 2019 CR-V (see attached photo curtesy of Yakima) then we need to get you set up with a new roof rack so you can use the Hullavator Pro when you repair it with the Bar Mount Assembly # 7521741001.

To replace the factory rack, I recommend the Thule WingBar Evo # TH64QG. Not only is this one of the best roof racks on the market, but Thule has also tested it with the Hullavator Pro which is an extra boost in confidence.

Are you wanting to use all 4 of the Hullavator Pro parts on your CR-V at the same time?

Thanks… yes - we want to use all 4 hullavator assemblies - we have 2 eddy liner kayaks - each weighs 38 pounds… 2 assemblies per kayak for a total of 4 assemblies mounted on the roof at once

@RobertK That puts you at about 155 lbs which the crossbars will be able to handle, but if you want to use both at once, we'll need to go with a Yakima JetStream roof rack instead, so we can make sure we have long enough crossbars to get the right overhang for both sides - and that there's enough room for both sets of assemblies to fit (they take up 28-1/2" of crossbar space). For your application you'll want the following parts: - 60" Crossbars # Y00426 - SkyLine Towers # Y53TR - Landing Pad 19 # Y00245

@JonG… 1) will this approach you suggested connect to the factory installed honda roof rack? 2) where can i get instructions… for mounting to the honda… are they included with the yakima bars?
