Question:
Which ICON would be best for a boat trailer? I have it at my marina so can't see right now. AL33DQ yoke-style or AL26DQ flat-lip?
asked by: Robert
Expert Reply:
Robert, it comes down to latch style. Most boat trailers run yoke-style 2inch couplers, so the # AL33DQ is usually the right choice. If yours has that squared flat lip, the # AL26DQ would fit better (this is more common on bigger trailers). Both use stainless hardware and weather-sealed lock faces, so they hold up well around water. You can always show me a picture of your setup and I can narrow it down for you!
Do you store long-term at the marina or just weekends?
