Troubleshooting Shore Power Circuit in House Tripping When Progressive Dynamics Panel is Energized

Updated 09/23/2025 | Published 09/08/2025

Question:

Hello, I have a 2021 Rockwood Geo Pro. I just purchased a PD4045 from you this past week to replace the WFCO WF8735P. I installed it over the weekend and everything seemed to go well. All lights and 12V accessories seem to work fine. When connected to shore power, everything seems to work fine except when I flip on the breaker that energizes the converter. That causes the 120v circuit breaker in my house serving shore power cord to trip. Any ideas what the problem might be? Thanks, Mike

Hey Mike, it sounds like something is maybe connected wrong. The input side of the converter is AC power like shore power so since when you energize the converter the shore power breaker in your house trips that makes me think the issue is wiring between the input side of the converter and shore power. It's hard to be more specific than that but if you go over the wiring I am sure you will find it.
