will a enverter work runing the unit ?

Hey Ron, since the Advent Air RV AC unit part # ADV86SR is designed to run on AC power like what an inverter is designed to supply then yes one could be used to run this AC unit. You'd most likely need something rated for 3k watts or higher and also this would drain most batteries in an hour or so.
