Question:
Hello, I currently have the GoPower 30 amp MPPT Controller which has separate connection inputs for the two batteries. I will be upgrading to the GoPower 60 amp MPPT controller which does not have this feature. Will this impact the charging of the two batteries by connecting them via a bus terminal? Thank You!

Hi Kevin; do you have two battery banks or are your two batteries wired together in parallel? It sounds like you're talking about the dual bank controller # GP32QR. The Go Power MPPT Solar Charge Controller # GP54FR is designed to work with a single battery bank. It can work with two or more batteries but they need to be wired together in parallel so they make a single 12V battery bank. This can be done with bus bars just make sure you connect the positive terminals to a positive bus bar and the negative terminals to a negative bus bar.

Hi Kevin, did you have a chance to check if your batteries are wired together in parallel as I mentioned? I'm asking because it could help others who are upgrading their solar charge controllers.
