I removed the gooseneck hitch from my 2002 Silverado k1500 short bed. I bought a 2016 Silverado k1500 short bed. Is it possible to just buy an install kit and not have to buy the center section?

Hello Daniel, yes, it is! You can use the same B&W center section on your 2016 Chevy 1500. All you will need is the new install kit, and for that, you can use the following:
