Question:
I have a curt drop hitch like this https://www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Hitch-Ball-Mount/CURT/C45926.html which has the 2 and 2 5/16 ball... I have a smaller trailer that take the 1 7/8. Does curt make another ball that would work with my current hitch. I saw this : https://www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Hitch-Ball-Mount/CURT/C45901.html do they sell just the ball mount? is this compatible? https://www.etrailer.com/Accessories-and-Parts/Convert~A~Ball/BA-1.html

Hey Ray, unfortunately the Curt Adjustable 2-Ball Channel Mount - 2" Hitch # C45926 doesn't have the option to add another mount with a 1-7/8" ball like you're wanting to do.
I'd look at something like Flint Hill Goods Adj Tri-Ball Mount - 2" Hitch - 5.75" Drop/Rise # FHG92VR, or for a more budget friendly option, the fixed TowSmart Multi-Ball Mount for 2" Hitches - 1-7/8", 2", and 2-5/16" Trailer Balls # TS74FR.
Sorry I didn't have better news. Sometimes these adjustable hitches have the option to swap out parts, but I think Curt's theory is that the # C45926 is heavy duty for 2" and 2-5/16" balls which is why they likely didn't offer a 1-7/8" ball option.
