Question:

I have a 2023 Kia soul w/halogen tail lights. I have a Roadmaster tow dolly RM2477 to tow my vehicles behind my motor home. I need to know, if install the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector Part Number: C89KR and plug it into my motor home, will the lights work on the Kia? In other words, The Kia is receiving power from the motor home/dolly. Thank You

Hello Stephen,

The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C89KR is not the correct wiring for what you’re trying to accomplish. The # C89KR is designed for your 2023 Kia Soul if you were towing a very light trailer or using a hitch-mounted accessory.

For your setup, you’ll need flat tow wiring so the lights function properly while on the tow dolly. I recommend the Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles - 7-Way to 6-Way Coiled Adapter Cord # RM-15267. Since the Kia Soul cannot be flat towed and must be used on a tow dolly, our system will list the wiring as “not confirmed to fit,” but it will work in your situation.
