Can The Same Tow Bar Be Used With A Jeep Wrangler And A 2014 Ram 1500 4x4?

I have 2014 Ram 1500 4x4 and a Jeep Wrangler. Can the same tow bar assembly be used for both?

The heaviest 2014 Ram 1500 4x4 (ones with the TRX trim) can weigh up to 6,440 pounds and the heaviest Jeep Wrangler (the 4 door Rubicon 392) can weigh up to 5,280 pounds. Something like the Roadmaster Nighthawk All-Terrain Tow Bar for Blue Ox Base Plate - Non-Binding - LEDs - RV Mount - 8K # RM-677 you were looking at can handle up to 8,000 pounds. So with that said, you can absolutely use it with both vehicles.
One thing to note, the aforementioned Nighthawk tow bar is specifically for Blue Ox base plates. Do you have Blue Ox base plates on both vehicles?

Hi Matt, Did you have Blue Ox base plates on both your Ram and Jeep to use with the Nighthawk tow bar? I'm asking to make sure others can confidently set up their vehicles for towing.
