Question:
Hi, We have a Beacon 34RLB and purchased the Roadmaster RM-2470-2580 from your company and had them installed by the Tishomingo RV Center in December of 2023. They have worked fine until this last trip. My concern is that when back up the 5th wheel on a sharp turn they make a loud clunking noise. They have always made a noise but this last trip there were extremely loud. Is this normal? We have a sharp turn we have to make to back into our spot beside our home. I have crawled under the RV and checked to make sure nothing obvious was amiss but did not see anything. Please advise. Thank you John

Hey John, any time a clunking noise or any other type of noise gets louder over time my first inclination is to think a bolt is loose and getting more loose which is creating a louder noise. So I would go over all of the hardware and see if anything is working itself loose and tighten as needed. While you are there look for anything that looks worn out or broken and report back and we can see how to proceed. The Roadmaster Comfort Ride is not known to be super noisy but since its a slipper spring setup it is possible.
If you decide to try lubricating the moving parts use a dry lube like the part # RM-747 so that it doesn't attract dirt.
