Will the Replacement Vented Cap for DeeZee Transfer Tanks Leak

Question:
Does this vent and leak diesel like the standard non locking cap? I have the regular one and now my transfer tank is covered in diesel residue and dust. Hoping to find an alternative that keeps my tank clean.

Hey Wc, the DeeZee Locking Vented Cap part # DZGASCAP3 is the same basic design as the non-locking caps but I believe your cap was failing if it was leaking as it is not supposed to do that. Either it was defective or maybe not put on all the way. Was yours always leaking or did it start after a length of time?

It has always leaked, like the pressure release just coated my tank in diesel fuel residue. The cap is brand new and the seal appears to be fine, and is also completely secured.
