Question:

I have a Load right WV1200WT Trailer that id like to upgrade my rims/tires to radials. I currently have 4.80-12B tires with 12x4 rims / 5 lug . Im looking for a 12 in galvanized rim with a good radial tire.

Hey Fred, thanks for the information. The only option we have for a 4.80-12B tires on a 12" rim are the Kenda 4.80-12 Bias Trailer Tire with 12" Galvanized Wheel - 5 on 4-1/2 - Load Range B item # AM30590.

In order to get a radial tire you'll need to jump up in size to the Kenda Karrier S-Trail ST145/R12 Radial Tire w/ 12" Galvanized Spoke Wheel - 5 on 4-1/2 - LR D item # AM31202, you were looking at.

The ST145/R12 item # AM31202 tire would be about an inch wider and an inch taller than your current 4.80-12 tires like item # AM30590. The 1" height difference would raise your ride height and the wider tread would provide more pavement contact for greater stability.

Please note you'll want at least 2" of inside clearance between the tires inner sidewall and any portion of the trailer. A 1" wider tire which would move the sidewall 1/2" closer to the trailer frame and a 1/2" closer to the top of the fender.

Do you have enough clearance in your wheel well to jump up to the S-Trail ST145/R12 Radial Tire item # AM31202?
