You can, Ted! While it doesn't come with one installed, the Demco DA75 Trailer Brake Actuator - Zinc - Disc # DM33CV is compatible with Demco’s manual lockout kit, part # DM93CV. That’ll give you a pin-style mechanical lockout so your brakes don’t engage while reversing, even without wiring up a solenoid. You don't even need tools to install it. :)
What are you planning to install it on? Did you just get a new boat and trailer?

Hey Ted, did you decide to go with the manual lockout kit for your actuator? I'd love to know how it worked out for you, especially if you're using it with a new boat and trailer. Your experience could really help others in a similar situation!
