Availability of Base Plate for 2017 Jeep Wrangler With Smittybilt Gen II Bumper

I have a 2017 jeep wrangler unlimited with a smittybuilt Gen II aftermarket bumper. Question is what base plate is recommended? With a Roadmaster Falcon flat tow bar. Really don’t want to get a new bumper.

Hi Tom; all of the base plate kits for your 2017 Jeep Wrangler are designed for the standard bumper so they will not be compatible. However, I believe that bumper itself is rated for flat towing (make sure to double check with Smittybilt).
Assuming that is correct, you can use the D-Ring Bumper Mounts # RM-035-1 (Designed for 1" thick shackle mounts with 7/8" and 1" pins) or # RM-035 (Designed for 3/4" thick shackle mounts with 7/8" and 1" pins). Both are compatible with the Falcon, Falcon 2 # RM-520, and Falcon 3HD # RM27NQ.
