Can I run Cummins Onan Onboard RV Generator 6000w with my Xantrex inverter and lithium batteries?

Question:
We’ve got a Lance 1172 truck camper on a 2021 Ram 5500 with a Xantrex 3000W inverter/charger and Battle Born lithium batteries. Will this work to charge them while running loads?

You’re good to go, Derek. While the QD 6000 # CM94RR isn’t an inverter-style generator, it provides clean enough power to run through your Xantrex unit, which will regulate current before it hits the lithium bank. You can run the generator while topping off your Battle Borns and still run heavy 120V loads like AC, fridge, and a hot water kettle.
Just make sure your charge profile on the Xantrex is dialed in for lithium. Many off-grid rigs use this exact combo.
