Is Suspension Enhancement or Weight Distribution Better for 2024 GMC Sierra Towing Car Hauler

Updated 08/15/2025 | Published 07/16/2025

Question:

I have a 24’ enclosed car trailer that makes m 2024 GMC 1500 Denali sag pretty good in the back end. I’ve been debating on the bandw load distribution hitch or is it better to put air bags on the truck. The truck has the adaptive ride. Thoughts?

Hey Mark, if at all possible it's better to use a weight distribution system over suspension enhancement to reduce sag from when towing a trailer as a WD system has the added benefit of being able to distribute the tongue weight up to the front axle of the tow vehicle which helps also with handling and braking. Plus it also helps reduce potential sway a lot more than what just a suspension kit would provide so its the way to go. The B and W Continuum # BW78FR that you referenced would be a great option.

Hey Mark, did you decide to go with the weight distribution system for your GMC 1500 Denali? I'm curious to know how it worked out for you, as it could really help others in a similar situation.
