How secure is the lock system?

It's very solid. Our customer that lives in Cape May installed a RodVault 2 # TH34FR23YR on her 2019 RAV4 and said she felt totally comfortable locking up her 5wt and 8wt overnight at a motel near the beach. The mounting clamps and reel box are keyed alike and tamper-resistant. This RodVault also comes in a 4 pole carrier with part # TH34FR55YR.
For peace of mind on long trips, it’s one of the most secure fishing rod carriers out there. What sketchy areas do you plan to fish at?
