Does the RodVault come pre-assembled?

Partially. The Thule RodVault 2 carrier # TH34FR23YR has aluminum tubes and reel box that come pre-drilled, and you’ll bolt on the mounting brackets with the included hardware. One of our customers in Boise installed hers on a Subaru Ascent in under 30 minutes, solo. No special tools needed, just the included hex wrench and a little patience to align the brackets.
