Does Air Lift Load Lifter 5000 Kit Add Additional Suspension Support to Motorhome Suspension

Question:

I have added the airlift 5000 ultimate to the front, they are rated for 5000 lbs and the front axel of my 22k 2006 Ford f53 with 22.5 inch wheels is rated for about 6000 lbs. It works great and smooths the ride with about 35 lbs added to bags. Now I want to add the airlift 5000 to my rear axle but was just thinking about the weight on the rear axel. The bags are only rated for 5000 lbs but the rear axle must carry well over 14000 lbs. If fully inflated it seems like these bags would be highly stressed as the load settles on them during swaying. I realize the rest of the suspension is still capable of carrying the load but still the bags would carry most of the load initially before the suspension kicks in. What am I missing in my thoughts?

Hey Daniel, I can tell you really put some thought into this but the Air Lift kit part # AL57410 will work great for you. This kit will gives you an additional 5,000 lb of support to what you have now and does not replace and therefore limit what you would have. So basically its just supplemental suspension support that will help what you have now carry the weight in a safer and more stable way. Are you looking for a compressor kit too?

Thanks Jameson, I did a web search with the same question and the Airlift airbag co. Has a pretty thorough answer also. (Basically, the original load will still carry everything but the airbag balances and supplements the load. This is pretty much what I see with the front and I do get a much smoother ride. No compressor for me but I do want to get a extension for the airlines so I can run them to my front right bay where the others are located. I will keep four separate lines so I can fill as needed to hold additional weight and leveling Thanks!
