Question:
Good afternoon, Im planning on replacing the AC unit on our 2024 Keystone Montana High Country 385br 41ft, Coleman Mach 15 Q with a Furrion Chill Cube. My plan is to abandon the ac ducts due to the huge amount of heat absorption the chilled air is getting in the poorly insulated ducts. Is it possible that if I buy the duct-free version of the Chill Cube with the undected ceiling assembly that I could later purchase the ducted ceiling assembly and swap it out if I decide that I need to go back to ducts? I see that you list two different skus for the roof unit that refer to one being ducted and the other unducted. Whats the difference if as I understand it all you need is the ducted or unducted ceiling assembly.

Hey Jason, thanks for reaching out!
It looks like the AC units and distribution boxes are different for both the ducted and ductless configurations.
- Ducted # LC34DX
- Ductless # FR27TD
I reached out to my contact at Lippert, and they said it's not a good idea to block off the duct-work at all because it can void your warranty so I can't recommend going that route. It's also worth noting that the Chill Cube will need to be treated like a fresh new installation because the components from your Coleman won't work with the Furrion. Because of this, you'll need the whole Kit # FR39TD instead of the one you were looking at.
It might be worth having a local RV shop look into this as well and offer their thoughts on the best way to move forward!
Let me know what you end up doing!

Hey Jason, did you have a chance to consult with a local RV shop about the AC installation? I'm curious to know what you decided, as your experience could be really helpful for others considering a similar upgrade.
