Looking For Replacement Door Latch For 2015 ATC Trailer

Updated 10/02/2025 | Published 06/24/2025

Question:

Hi there. I have a 2015 ATC trailer and looking for a replacement door latch since mine is cracked. From what I understand the door latch was made by Wesco and its a FMVSS style latch. I can send photos if needed. Do you sell a replacement latch for that?

Hello Marcus, thanks for reaching out. We may have a door latch for you, but I will need more information from you to know exactly what latch you need. The FMVSS just means it is compliant with dot standards or meets federal motor vehicle safety standards. It does not tell us what size or style of latch you have.

When replacing latches, the main thing to look at is the size of the door cutout. This will tell us what latches will fit. Pictures can help too, but I will need to know the cutout size either way. Reply on this page and let me know. Or if you want to email me a few pictures I am happy to take a look. My email is [email protected].

For example, a very common door lock is the Global Link RV Entry Door Locking Latch # 295-000019. It fits cutouts that are 2-1/2" wide x 3-1/2" tall to 3" wide x 4" tall, and doors that are between 1-1/4" to 1-1/2" thick.

Hey Marcus, did you have a chance to measure the door cutout or send over some pictures? I'm here to help you find the right latch for your trailer.

I'm also trying to locate a replacement slam latch paddle lock for an ATC trailer. The cutout measures 4 7/8" wide x 4 3/4" high. It originally has an FIC lock with deadbolt on it now.

@Coby Hey Coby. Looking thru the slam latches we carry I am not seeing we have anything for that cutout size. All of our slam latches, like the Global Link RV Baggage Door Slam Latch # 295-000015 are for cutouts that are about 3-1/4" tall x 4" wide.
