Info Needed to Pick Out Replacement Leaf Springs for Older Trailer

Updated 09/02/2025 | Published 06/23/2025

Question:

I have an older trailer passed down to me. I’ve measured the hub to hub at 67.25”. My spring center to center is 51.25. Spring center to hub face is 8”. My springs are double eye 36” eye to eye. I can not for the life of me find anything to replace my suspension. Are there any option for me? I’ve looked at timbren axle less, and some custom stuff people can maybe make but I’m unsure. Any information would help me.

Hey Greyson, there is hope for you but to find an axle replacement you'll need to find a trailer shop local to you who can order them in as that's not a size we offer. For suspension you will need to go with a more modern size setup which will require cutting off the old hangers and welding in new ones that use modern sizes. What is the capacity of the axle? that would be best place to start for picking out leaf springs.

Hey Greyson, have you had a chance to find out the capacity of your axle? Knowing that would really help in choosing the right leaf springs. If you’re still looking for a solution, I’m happy to help.
