Can I Replace a 3-Step Flexco Manual Pull-Out Steps w/ a 4-Step and Use the Same Mounting Hardware?

Updated 06/25/2025 | Published 06/19/2025

Question:

Can I go from a Flexco 3 step to a 4 step Flexco without having to fiddle with my factory mounting brackets? My camper has been lifted so that first step can be quite large. Sometimes need an extra step on the ground.

Yes, you can Jenilee. The 3-step Flexco Manual Pull-Out Steps for RVs item # SMFP-3200L have the same mounting brackets and dimensions as the 4-step item # SMFP-4400. The 4-step is designed for entry heights 34" - 37".

What kind of trailer do you have?

2011 Salem with a 4” lift. I actually think I will go with the 3 step 9” set. Mounting bracket height is 33”
