Why Would Headache Rack Cause Ford Super Duty Truck to Show Trailer Connected

Tech question. 2025 super duty. Wiring in lights on headache rack. How to keep truck from saying trailer connected. Believe they tied into harness for stop turn and tail?

Hey Tom, yes it does sound like they used your trailer wiring circuits for activation circuits for the lighting of your headache rack which is why you are seeing a trailer connected message. Basically you will have to undo that and run the circuit to the taillight wiring of the truck instead.
