Hey Geoff, thanks for reaching out!
You'll want to use the 18K Replacement Head Assembly # BWRVC3200 for your 18K Patriot # BWRVK3255. The difference between the 16K and 18K heads will be their weight capacity, but you'll also be limiting your 18K hitch setup to 16K if you do with the lower-rated head unit.
Did you find a 16K head being sold online somewhere?
